About Us

Here at Pelton Grange Care Home in Chester Le Street, County Durham, we provide a warm and genuinely homely environment where the people in our care feel safe, valued and supported to live as independently as possible.

We support a wide range of individuals, including older people, younger adults, and those living with a learning disability or autism. We also offer residential care, physical disability support and short term respite care, meaning we can be there for people and their families at different stages and in different circumstances.

Our team works hard to get to know each person properly, understanding not just their care needs but their routines, preferences and what matters most to them day to day. We believe that good care starts with good listening, and we take the time to build real relationships with residents and their loved ones.

We are pleased to hold a "good" rating from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the consistent effort our staff put in across every aspect of the home. It is something we are proud of, though we always look for ways to keep improving and to raise the bar further.

Families tell us they feel reassured knowing their relatives are here, and that means a great deal to us. We encourage relatives to be involved, to visit freely and to feel that Pelton Grange is somewhere they can always come to with questions or concerns.

Whether someone is moving in for the long term or staying with us for a short respite break, we aim to make the experience as comfortable and positive as possible. If you would like to find out more about what we can offer, we would always welcome a conversation or a visit to come and see the home for yourself.
