About The Bungalow

The Bungalow is a small residential care home in Penzance supporting a mixed group of adults. Some of our residents are older people who need help with daily life; others are adults with a learning disability, autistic adults, people with a physical disability or people living with sight or hearing loss, and many are younger adults. Being small is the point. Staff know everybody who lives here properly, and we can plan around individuals instead of running one routine for the house. One person may want help to wash and dress and then to be left in peace. Another may want staff alongside them cooking, going out locally or getting to an appointment. We pay attention to how each person communicates, what they find difficult and what helps them settle. Where somebody needs help to move about safely the right equipment is in place and our staff are trained for it, and where there is sight or hearing loss we adapt how we communicate and do not move things without saying so. Everyday life includes cooking, shopping, keeping your own room as you want it and getting out into the town. Respite stays are available. Please contact us if you would like to come and see the house.
