About Trymview Hall

Trymview Hall is a residential care home in Bristol. We support older people, including people living with dementia, adults with physical disabilities and younger adults, and we welcome people for respite stays as well as on a permanent basis. We try to run a home where the day belongs to the people living in it. Breakfast is not a parade, there is no obligation to join anything, and equally there is always something happening for those who want it. Rooms are people's own space, with their own furniture and photographs, and we would rather a room looked lived in than tidy. Supporting people with dementia takes patience and consistency more than anything clever. We keep surroundings calm and familiar, we learn about people's earlier lives so conversation has somewhere to go, and we train staff to work with how somebody sees the world rather than correcting them. For people with physical disabilities we focus on what somebody can still do for themselves and make sure equipment and layout support that rather than getting in the way. Families are welcome here and we would rather hear concerns early and directly. We have not yet had a full inspection under our current registration, so we would encourage anyone considering us to visit, look closely and ask whatever they want to. Bristol families are welcome to ring and arrange a time.
