About Us
Here at 50 Vassall Road, we are a residential care home based in Bristol, and we are proud to support adults with learning disabilities and autism in a place that genuinely feels like home. We also offer respite care, giving individuals and their families the opportunity to take a well earned break while knowing that their loved ones are in safe, attentive hands.
We understand that moving into a care home, or even staying for a short period, is a significant step. That is why we take the time to get to know each person as an individual, understanding their routines, preferences, communication styles and what makes them feel comfortable and valued. Our approach is rooted in listening, and we work closely with families, advocates and other professionals to make sure the support we provide genuinely reflects each person's needs and wishes.
Day to day life here is shaped by the people who live with us. We encourage everyone to be involved in decisions about their own care, their activities and how they spend their time. Whether that means enjoying quiet time at home, getting out and about in the local community, or taking part in activities that bring real meaning and enjoyment, we are here to make it happen.
We are incredibly proud to hold an Outstanding rating from the Care Quality Commission. This reflects the genuine commitment of our whole team to providing support that is thoughtful, consistent and respectful. It is not something we take for granted, and we continue to look at how we can learn and improve.
