About Us

Here at Aranlaw House, we provide residential care for older people in the heart of Poole, and we are proud to be part of the wider Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole community. Our home offers a warm, familiar environment where residents can feel genuinely settled and supported in their daily lives.

We care for older adults across a range of needs, including residential care, dementia care, mental health support and respite care. Whether someone is joining us for a short stay to recover or recharge, or making Aranlaw House their long term home, we work hard to make sure the experience feels personal and unhurried. We take the time to understand each resident as an individual, learning about their routines, their preferences and the things that matter most to them.

Dementia care sits at the heart of much of what we do. We understand how important it is for people living with dementia to feel safe, recognised and respected, and our approach reflects that at every level, from how we communicate with residents to how we structure the day.

We are pleased that our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated us as Good. That matters to us, not simply as a formal recognition, but because it reflects the effort our team puts in every single day to get things right for the people who live here.

Families are always welcome at Aranlaw House. We believe that staying connected to loved ones is important for wellbeing, and we do our best to keep those relationships strong. If you are considering care for yourself or someone close to you, we would encourage you to come and visit us, have a look around and ask us anything you like. We are always happy to talk things through and help you find the right path forward.
