About Us
We are a neurological care centre in Worcester, providing nursing care for people living with conditions that affect the brain and nervous system. We support older people and younger adults, including those living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities, autistic people, people with physical disabilities and people with loss of sight or hearing.
Neurological care asks for a particular kind of attention. Needs can change quickly, communication is often affected, and the same person may manage well one day and very little the next. So we keep registered nurses on duty for medication, pain, seizures, continence, skin care and the difficulties people have with eating, drinking and moving, and we work alongside therapists so that what somebody can do is maintained rather than quietly lost.
Just as important is that a person remains themselves. People here choose when they get up, what they wear, what they eat and who they want beside them, and where somebody wants to get out, see family or keep up something they care about, we treat that as part of the care rather than an extra. For younger adults in particular, the risk in a setting like this is that life narrows, and we work against that.
Respite stays are available as well as longer places.
Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. Please come and see us and ask whatever you need to.
