About Us
Fairfield Nursing Home is a nursing home on the Wirral. We care for older people whose health needs mean qualified nurses should be on hand, and we also support people living with mental health conditions and younger adults with nursing needs.
Having nursing staff here means that when somebody's health changes they do not have to move somewhere else to have it met. That matters a great deal to a person who is frail, and it matters to families too, who can step back from coordinating appointments and treatments and go back to simply visiting.
Around the clinical side of things, we try to keep life ordinary. People choose when to get up, what they eat and how they spend the day, and we would far rather shape our routines around the people living here than expect everybody to fall in with a timetable that suits the building. Relatives are welcome whenever they want to come.
We also offer respite stays, whether to give a family carer a proper break or to support somebody who needs nursing care for a while after a spell in hospital before going home again.
If you are weighing up nursing care for someone in your family, please come and visit. It is a hard decision to make from a distance, and it gets easier once you have walked round, met the team and asked us the questions that are worrying you.
