About Pinewood Nursing Home

We are Pinewood Nursing Home in Chichester, West Sussex. We provide nursing care for older people, and we also welcome people for respite stays. What a nursing home offers that a residential one cannot is clinical care on site at any hour. For the people who live here that means health needs are noticed early and dealt with by staff who already know them. It means somebody can stay when their condition changes rather than moving at exactly the point when a move is hardest. And it means care at the end of life can happen here, among familiar faces, when that is what a person and their family want. The rest of it is ordinary life, and we try hard not to lose sight of that. People keep their own routines, their own belongings and their own opinions about how the day should go. Meals are something to look forward to rather than something that arrives. Visitors are not confined to set hours. Respite guests are assessed and cared for exactly as permanent residents are, whether they are with us for a fortnight after hospital or while a family carer takes a break. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
