About Us
Hastings Lodge and Hastings Cottage in Northampton provide nursing care for a wide range of adults. We support older people and younger adults, residents living with dementia, adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions, people with a physical disability and people with a visual or hearing impairment, and we offer respite stays. Having registered nurses on site around the clock means health needs can be met here as they change, rather than each change becoming the reason for another move at exactly the point when someone is least able to cope with one. With that range of people, the way we work has to be genuinely individual. We learn how each person wants their day to run, how they communicate, what they can still do for themselves and where they actually want help. Where we support autistic residents or people with a learning disability, we pay attention to keeping routines predictable, because an environment that feels like a hospital ward helps nobody. Beyond the nursing, we want residents to get up at their own hour and have their own things around them. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
