About Mr 'C's

We are a nursing home in Torquay, and we care for people who need qualified nursing support alongside help with everyday living. Our nurses are on duty around the clock, which means that changes in someone's health can be picked up early and acted on quickly, and that families do not have to worry about what happens overnight. Most of the people who live with us are older, and many are living with dementia. We have learned that the small things carry the most weight in dementia care: a familiar routine, a face someone recognises, time to finish a sentence without being hurried. We also support younger adults with nursing needs, and we take care that the home does not feel arranged only around one age group. Life here is not built around a timetable for its own sake. People get up when they are ready, eat what they actually enjoy, and spend their days in ways that suit them. Relatives are welcome whenever they want to come, and we would much rather have people drop in than feel they need an appointment. We offer respite stays as well, whether that is to give a family carer a rest or to help someone recover after a spell in hospital. Our most recent CQC overall rating is good. Please get in touch if you would like to look around.
