About Stamford Court
Stamford Court is a nursing home in Stalybridge, Tameside. We care for older people and younger adults who need nursing support, including residents living with dementia and residents with physical disabilities. People generally arrive here at a point when health needs have become too much to manage elsewhere, and families are often tired and anxious by the time they reach us. We try to take that weight off straight away. Qualified nursing staff are here at all hours, clinical needs are looked after on site, and conditions that change can be managed as they change. The rest of what we do matters just as much. We ask what a good day looks like for each resident and then try to arrange one: food worth eating, a way of getting outside, a quiet place when the lounge is too busy, visitors welcomed at the time that suits them rather than us. For residents who need help to move, comfort and position are part of our routine thinking, as is how someone actually gets about the building. For residents with dementia we keep faces and routines as constant as our rotas allow. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission was good. If you are considering Stamford Court, come and see it. Ask about staffing, ask what happens at night, and ask the relatives you meet here what they would tell you if we were not listening.
