About Bourne Wood Manor Care Home
We are a nursing home in Farnham, Surrey, caring for older people and younger adults who need nursing support, including many who are living with dementia. Registered nurses are on duty day and night, so medication, pain relief and any change in somebody's condition are handled here and handled promptly. Dementia care and nursing care sit side by side in a home like ours, and they ask for different things. The clinical side has to be exact. The rest has to be patient. We keep routines familiar, faces consistent and the atmosphere calm, and when somebody is distressed we sit with them rather than trying to talk them round. We take time to learn who a person is. Their work, their family, their habits, what they enjoy and what they will not tolerate. That knowledge is what turns competent care into care that actually suits the person receiving it. Families are welcome, and we would rather they visited often and asked us plenty of questions. Respite and short stays are offered alongside permanent nursing places. Our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated the home Good. If you are looking at nursing care in this part of Surrey, please contact us to arrange a visit.
