About Heatherley - Care Home with Nursing Physical Disabilities

Heatherley is a nursing home in Copthorne, Surrey, caring for adults with physical disabilities and for people with a learning disability or autism whose health needs require nursing support. Having qualified nurses on the team alongside our care staff means that complex needs can be met here without somebody having to move on every time their health changes. Our support is highly individual. It can include nursing care, medication, help with eating and drinking, specialist moving and handling, personal care and pain management, together with the practical assistance that makes ordinary life possible: getting out, keeping up interests, seeing people and making decisions about your own day. We support younger adults and older adults, and we deliberately avoid planning a single routine and expecting everybody to fit it. Respite stays are available for families who need a planned break. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We would rather tell you that plainly than let you find it elsewhere and wonder what else we have not said. The areas identified are where our effort is going at the moment, and we are happy to talk them through with anyone considering us. Please come and visit, meet the people who live here and form a view of your own.
