About Park Care Centre

Bagshot Park Care Centre is a nursing home in Bagshot. We care for older people and younger adults with nursing needs, including people with physical disabilities and people with sight or hearing loss, and we offer respite stays. Qualified nurses are on duty at all hours. That means complex health needs, medication, wound and continence care and care at the end of life are looked after here rather than through repeated journeys elsewhere, and it means somebody notices early when a resident is becoming unwell rather than once it is obvious. The nursing is the foundation rather than the purpose. Our residents live here, and what makes a day a good one is usually ordinary. A proper breakfast, the paper, familiar music, the grounds when the weather allows, and staff who are not too busy to sit down with somebody. For residents with physical disabilities we pay close attention to equipment, transfers and how the building is arranged, because independence usually turns on practical detail rather than good intentions. Younger residents in particular tend to know far more than we do about what works for them, and we take our lead from them. Where sight or hearing is failing we work on lighting, contrast, sound and equipment. Where somebody is nearing the end of life we plan openly with them and their family and make room for relatives to stay. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Visitors are welcome through the day.
