About Us
Here at St Joseph's Convent Nursing Home in Stafford, Staffordshire, we provide nursing care for older people, those living with dementia, people with physical disabilities, and younger adults who need a higher level of support. We also offer respite care for those who need a short stay, whether that is to recover after a period of illness or to give family members and carers a well earned break.
We are a nursing home, which means we have registered nurses on site around the clock. This matters enormously to the people we support and to their families, because it means that clinical needs can be met promptly and with confidence, without anyone having to wait. We work closely with local GPs, specialists and other healthcare professionals to make sure each person receives joined up care that is right for them.
We know that moving into a nursing home is a significant step, and we take that seriously. We try to make sure every person who comes to live with us feels genuinely at home rather than simply looked after. We take time to understand what matters to each individual, their routines, their preferences, their history and the things that bring them comfort and enjoyment. That understanding shapes the way we care for each person day to day.
Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in an overall rating of good, which reflects the commitment of our whole team to getting things right for the people in our care.
We are proud to be part of the Stafford community and to have built relationships of trust with local families over the years. If you are considering St Joseph's Convent Nursing Home for yourself or for someone you love, we would warmly welcome the chance to have a conversation and show you around.
