About Us
Woodview Care Home is a nursing home in Newcastle in Staffordshire, caring for older people whose health needs have gone beyond what can be managed comfortably at home. Qualified nurses are on hand at every hour, which means changes in someone's condition are picked up early and dealt with here wherever possible rather than through repeated trips to hospital.
Much of our work is with people living with dementia. We keep the day predictable and calm, we make sure people see faces they recognise and we pay attention to the small details that settle a person. We also care for people living with a physical disability and people with sight or hearing loss, where dignity and sensible practical adjustments matter as much as clinical care, and for younger adults, whose routines we plan for in their own right. We support people in recovery from alcohol or drug misuse as well, and we do so without judgement.
Respite care is available for people recovering after illness and for family carers who need a genuine break.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We regard that as a foundation rather than a finish. If you are considering nursing care in this area, come and look round, meet the team and ask whatever you want to know.
