About Us
Richmond Court Nursing Home is in West Bromwich. We care for older people who need qualified nursing alongside everyday support, for residents living with dementia, for people with physical disabilities and for people with a visual or hearing impairment. We also offer respite stays, including for people recovering after a hospital admission. Having registered nurses on duty at all hours is what allows us to look after complex health needs here. Wounds, medication, pain relief, continence, long term conditions and end of life care are managed on site, and we work with GPs, community specialists and hospital teams so that decisions are made calmly and in good time rather than in an emergency. Nursing is not the whole of life, though, and we try hard not to let it dominate the place. Residents choose when to get up, what to eat, where to sit and how much company they want. Rooms hold people's own furniture and photographs, and visitors are welcome without appointment. For residents living with dementia we keep the surroundings familiar and staffing consistent, and we take the time to understand what lies behind distress rather than simply managing it. Where someone has limited sight or hearing, we make sure the way we approach and speak to them takes account of it. The Care Quality Commission rated us good overall at our most recent inspection. Please come and look round.
