About Us
Lincroft Meadow is a nursing home in Kidlington. We care for older people and younger adults who need qualified nursing on the premises, including many people living with dementia, and we also offer respite stays for those who need nursing care for a shorter period.
Having nurses here at all hours means that changing health, skin and wound care, complicated medication and support at the end of life can be managed here, with the GP and community teams, rather than by moving somebody at the point they would least want to be moved. It also means that when a person begins to become unwell, we usually notice early.
Alongside the nursing, this is a place where people live. We ask what an ordinary day looked like before someone came to us and try to protect the parts that mattered, whether that is a particular chair, a walk outside, the radio on first thing or simply being left in peace until they are ready.
Where dementia makes conversation difficult, knowing the person is what makes the difference, so we ask families to tell us about a working life, a marriage, a home and the habits of decades.
Our overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are considering nursing care in Kidlington or elsewhere in Oxfordshire, please ring us and arrange a visit.
