About Us
Fewcott House Nursing Home is a nursing home in Bicester, Oxfordshire, providing nursing and personal care for older people and for younger adults with a wide span of needs. We care for residents living with dementia, adults who have a learning disability, autistic adults, residents with mental health needs, residents with physical disabilities and residents with visual or hearing impairment, and we offer respite stays for shorter periods.
Qualified nurses are part of our team, which means a resident whose health becomes complex or changeable does not have to move on again to get the care they need. We work closely with doctors, district nurses, mental health colleagues and therapists whenever someone's condition alters, and clinical care is given with the same regard for privacy and dignity as every other part of the day.
With needs this varied we plan support one person at a time. Dementia care asks for familiarity and reassurance rather than correction. For residents with a learning disability or autistic residents, communication and routine come first. For residents with sensory loss we adapt how we communicate and how shared spaces are arranged.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is outstanding. We are proud of that and clear about what it means. It raises what we have to deliver on an ordinary day, and families are welcome to come and hold us to it.
