About Us

Bethel Court is a nursing home in Mansfield. We care for older people and younger adults who need qualified nursing on the premises, including people living with dementia and people managing mental health conditions, and we also offer respite stays.

Having nurses here at all hours means that changing health, skin and wound care, complicated medication and support at the end of life can be handled here, alongside the GP and community teams, rather than by moving someone somewhere unfamiliar at the worst possible moment. It also means that when a person starts to become unwell, we usually notice early.

Around the nursing, this is somewhere people live. We ask what an ordinary day used to look like and try to keep hold of the parts that mattered. Where dementia makes conversation difficult, we rely on knowing the person, and families are the best source of that knowledge, so we ask them to tell us as much as they can.

Where mental health needs sit alongside physical ones, we work with community teams and pay attention to the early signs that someone is struggling so that support can be adjusted in good time.

Relatives are welcome and we would far rather hear a concern straight away than have it saved up.
