About Us
Royal Hampton Care Home is a nursing home in Newcastle Upon Tyne. We provide nursing care for older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia or with mental ill health and people with a physical disability, and we offer respite stays.
Having registered nurses on the team means we can care for people whose health needs are complex, and we can usually go on caring for somebody as those needs increase rather than asking them to move again. Families often come to us worn out by uncertainty, and knowing that the moving can stop makes a considerable difference.
The day belongs to our residents. People wake in their own time, eat what they enjoy and spend their time in company or quietly as they prefer. Rooms are private space and are treated as such. For people living with dementia, our team works from knowledge of the person, keeping the surroundings calm and familiar and giving time rather than instruction.
We keep in close contact with GPs and community teams so that changes in health are noticed early and hospital admissions happen only when genuinely needed.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
If you are looking at nursing care in Newcastle, please arrange to visit, meet the team and ask us whatever you need to know.
