About The Granby
The Granby is a nursing home in Harrogate for older people who need nursing care as well as help with everyday life. Having qualified nurses on the team alongside our care staff means we can look after residents whose health needs would be beyond a residential home, and that people do not have to move on as their needs increase. We manage medication, nutrition, skin care, pain and comfort, and we help with washing, dressing and moving about in a way that leaves people doing whatever they still can for themselves. We care for residents with physical disabilities, adapting how we assist with moving and handling so that dignity is not the price of safety. We keep in close contact with GPs and community health teams so that care is properly coordinated, and we pay attention to the quiet signs of change, because older people do not always say when they are feeling unwell. Respite stays are available too, giving a family carer a genuine break or providing extra support for somebody recovering after a spell in hospital. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please come and see the home and ask us whatever you wish.
