About Us
Meadow View Care Home is a nursing home in Wellingborough. We care for older people whose health needs call for qualified nursing, for younger adults with nursing needs, for people with physical disabilities and for people living with sight or hearing loss. Respite stays are available as well.
Registered nurses on duty at every hour is what makes this possible. Medication is managed closely, wound care, catheter care and conditions that vary from week to week are dealt with on site, and a change in a resident's health is usually noticed early because the person noticing knows them well. We work with GPs, district nurses, therapists and hospital teams, and we press on a resident's behalf when something is slow in coming.
Dementia care matters here as much as clinical care, and honestly the two cannot be separated. Somebody frightened or in pain who cannot say so will show us in other ways, and reading that properly depends on knowing the person. So we ask families about working lives, music, food and old habits, and we keep the day calm and familiar rather than busy.
For residents living with sight or hearing loss, unhurried communication and a thoughtfully arranged environment make most of the difference, and for those with physical disabilities the emphasis is on equipment that fits and transfers done safely and without indignity.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Ring us if you would like to come and see an ordinary day here.
