About Us
Bradley Apartments is in Grimsby and we are registered for nursing care. We support adults with a learning disability, autistic adults, and adults living with a mental health condition whose health needs require a nurse rather than a residential setting. Most of the people here are younger adults, and we take respite admissions too. That combination is not common, and it is the reason families find us. People with a learning disability or a serious mental health condition who also have significant health needs are too often moved between places that can manage one half of the picture but not both. Here the nursing is already in the building, which means somebody does not have to leave the people they know in order to get the care they need. As the name suggests, people here have their own flats, and that is the point rather than a detail. A front door of your own changes the relationship. Staff are there because they are needed and wanted, not because they are supervising. Doing this well means refusing to let the clinical side take over the person. We explain before we act, we slow down, and we check we have been understood rather than assuming. Support plans are written so the person has a chance of reading them. The Care Quality Commission rates us good overall. Come and visit, and talk to the people who live here.
