About Senbrick Lodge

Senbrick Lodge is a nursing home in Ibstock, caring for older people who need qualified nursing alongside help with everyday life, for adults with mental health needs and for younger adults whose nursing needs are best met in a setting like ours. Nurses are on duty at all hours, which means health needs are managed here rather than becoming a crisis. Because we support people with mental health needs as well as older residents, we assess carefully before anybody moves in and we are honest when we do not think we are the right place. Once somebody lives here the plan belongs to them, and it is reviewed properly rather than filed away. We work closely with local mental health services and doctors, and medication is reviewed and managed carefully. What matters most to us is that people are not reduced to a diagnosis. Residents decide when they get up, what they eat, where they spend the day, whether they want company and who comes to see them. We will encourage somebody who has become withdrawn and equally respect a person who wants their own space. Respite stays are available for people needing nursing support for a short while and for family carers who need a genuine break. Families are welcome and we would always rather hear a concern early. Please get in touch if you would like to visit and see how the home runs.
