About Rockdale House

Rockdale House is a care home in Sevenoaks, Kent, providing both nursing and residential care. Having qualified nurses on the team alongside our care staff means we can look after people whose health needs go beyond a residential setting, and that residents need not move on each time those needs change. We care for older adults, managing medication, nutrition, skin care, pain and comfort while helping with washing, dressing, meals and moving about in a way that leaves people as independent as they can be. We keep in close contact with GPs and community health teams so that care is properly joined up. Dementia care is a significant part of our work and rests on familiar faces, a settled routine and taking the time to learn what reassures each individual. We support residents with physical disabilities and those with a visual or hearing impairment, adapting how we communicate and how we assist, and we care for younger adults with nursing needs, planning their days around their own interests. Respite stays are available for families needing a planned break or extra support after a hospital stay. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Visitors are welcome, and we would much rather hear a concern while it is still small.
