About Us

At Lea Grange Care Home, we provide nursing care for people in Harpenden, Hertfordshire, in an environment where residents feel genuinely at home. We support older adults, younger adults, and people living with dementia, physical disabilities, and visual or hearing impairments. We also offer respite care for those who need short term support, whether to recover after a hospital stay or to give family carers a much needed break.

Our team works closely with residents and their families from the very first conversation. We take time to understand each person's history, preferences, and needs, because good care starts with truly knowing someone. That means the way we support one resident will look quite different from how we support another, and we think that is exactly as it should be.

For those living with dementia, we know how important familiarity and calm surroundings can be. We focus on maintaining routines, encouraging meaningful activity, and making sure each person feels safe and recognised as an individual, not defined by their diagnosis.

Our nursing team provides clinical oversight around the clock, which gives residents and families reassurance that any changing needs will be identified and responded to promptly. We work alongside GPs, district nurses, and other healthcare professionals to make sure everyone receives joined up care.

We are currently unrated by the Care Quality Commission as we are in the early stages of our regulatory journey, and we welcome that scrutiny as part of being accountable to the people we care for.

If you are considering Lea Grange Care Home for yourself or someone you love, we would encourage you to come and visit us. A conversation in person, walking through the home and meeting the team, will tell you far more than any written description ever could. We look forward to hearing from you.
