About Stanley House
Stanley House is a nursing home in Ledbury caring for older people and younger adults, including people living with mental ill health and people with physical disabilities. Qualified nurses are on duty at every hour of the day and night. Nursing on the premises means health needs are met here as they arise rather than pieced together around visits from elsewhere, and it means our nurses and carers work as one team. How somebody wants their day to run, and what settles them, counts alongside the clinical detail. We plan for each person individually. Some need nursing support delivered precisely and reliably. Others mainly need comfort, good food and help keeping in touch with the people who matter to them. Where mental ill health is part of the picture we work closely with community teams and involve the person properly in decisions about their own care. Where physical disability is involved we pay close attention to equipment, comfort and moving about safely. Meals are cooked on the premises and adapted where swallowing or appetite is a difficulty. Families are welcome at any reasonable hour and we give them a straight account of how somebody is. Short stays are available. Our most recent rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please ring if you would like to arrange a visit.
