About Us
Here at Carlisle Lodge, we are a nursing home based in Eastbourne, East Sussex, and we are proud to offer a genuinely caring environment where residents feel safe, respected and at home.
We support a wide range of needs across our community, including older person care, nursing care, dementia care, physical disability, and visual and hearing impairment. We also offer respite care for those who need a short term stay, whether to recover after a period of illness or to give family carers a well earned rest. Whatever brings someone through our doors, we take the time to understand who they are as a person, not just what their care needs happen to be.
Our team works closely with residents and their families to put together care plans that reflect individual preferences, routines and wishes. We believe that good care is built on listening as much as it is on clinical knowledge, and our nursing staff bring both in equal measure. Families are always welcome here, and we encourage them to stay involved in the lives of their loved ones in whatever way suits them best.
Eastbourne is a wonderful town and we think our residents should be able to enjoy everything the local area has to offer where possible. We work hard to create a lively and sociable atmosphere within Carlisle Lodge itself, with activities and opportunities for connection that make each day feel meaningful.
We were pleased to receive a rating of Good from the Care Quality Commission at our most recent inspection, and we see that as recognition of the genuine effort our whole team puts in every single day. We are always looking at how we can improve, and we welcome any feedback from residents and families that helps us do that.
