About Us
Beechwood Care Centre in Bridlington provides nursing care for older people and younger adults, with qualified nurses on duty throughout the day and night. That means health needs are met here, by people who know the resident, rather than through repeated journeys elsewhere.
We support residents living with dementia and people managing mental health conditions. For residents living with dementia we keep the day familiar, explain changes before they happen, work at each person's pace and treat distress as something with a cause rather than as behaviour to be contained. The nursing work covers medication, mobility, nutrition, skin care, pain and comfort, done carefully and without fuss.
We want the place to feel domestic rather than clinical. Rooms are personalised, residents decide how their days run and how much company they want, and relatives are welcome whenever they can come. Respite stays are available for people needing nursing care for a short period.
We do not currently hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission, so we would encourage you to come and form your own view.
Visit at an ordinary time of day, meet our nurses and residents, and ask us anything you want to know.
