About Us
Holmewood Manor is a nursing home in Chesterfield caring for adults who need qualified nursing support alongside help with everyday living. We support older people, people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, and younger adults, and we take respite stays.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We are putting that first rather than last, because a family weighing up a nursing home deserves to hear it from us rather than find it elsewhere. We know what was identified, work is under way on it, and we will talk anybody through what has changed.
Registered nurses are on duty at all hours, which means clinical needs can be met here rather than through repeated journeys elsewhere. Around that sits the ordinary business of a day. Unhurried mornings. Meals worth sitting down to. Company when it is wanted and quiet when it is not. Somebody noticing quickly when a person is not themselves.
For people living with dementia we keep faces and routines steady and follow the person's own pace.
Please come and visit on a normal day and judge the home for yourself.
