About Us
The Old Roselyon Manor is a nursing home at Par in Cornwall, and we also provide care in people's own homes. We support older people and younger adults whose needs include nursing, including many living with dementia and people with physical disabilities. Respite stays are part of what we do.
Offering both a home and visiting care means we can sometimes keep somebody in their own house longer, and it means that if a move does become necessary it is to a place and a team they already know rather than to strangers.
Having nurses available means complex health needs are met rather than becoming a reason to move somebody on. The clinical side is only part of a day though, and the rest is ordinary life: food worth eating, getting outside, prompt help and privacy.
For residents living with dementia we keep the routine steady and ask relatives early for the history that makes a person's remarks comprehensible.
