About Us
Lawton Manor is a nursing home near Stoke on Trent. We care for older people and younger adults who need qualified nursing alongside help with daily living, and we take respite bookings, whether to give a family carer a break or to support somebody recovering after a spell in hospital.
Having nurses on site changes what can be managed here. Wound care, catheters, complicated medication and health that shifts from one day to the next are handled in the home rather than through repeated trips to hospital, which matters most at the point when somebody is tired of being moved about.
The clinical side is only part of the job. People choose how their day runs, keep their own belongings around them, eat food they actually want and see their families whenever they like. Being nursed should not mean being managed, and we work at keeping ordinary life going alongside the treatment.
We speak plainly with relatives, especially when health is changing. An honest conversation held early is far kinder than a confusing one held late, and we would rather ring you than wait for you to ring us.
Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall.
