About Us
We are Seaway Nursing Home in Hove, and we provide nursing care for older people and for adults living with a physical disability. Having registered nurses here at all hours changes what we can offer. Wound care, medication, complex health needs and the everyday monitoring that keeps small problems from becoming serious ones are all handled by people who see the person every day and notice when something is different.
We are conscious that moving into a nursing home is rarely anybody's first choice. What we can do is make the move feel less like an ending. Rooms become the person's own, familiar belongings come with them, and the routines that matter, whether that is a particular time for breakfast, the radio on in the morning or a walk out along the seafront, carry on. Being in Hove helps, as the sea air and the coast are part of daily life for many of the people who live here.
We also offer respite care, which suits families who need a planned break or someone recovering after a spell in hospital who is not quite ready to go straight home. Our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated us good overall. Relatives and friends are welcome to visit and to be involved as much as the person wants. If you are looking at nursing care in Brighton and Hove, please come and see us, ask difficult questions and judge for yourself.
