About Us
Heathlands Care Centre is a nursing home in Bracknell, Bracknell Forest, caring for older people who need qualified nursing support alongside help with daily living. We care for residents living with dementia or a mental health condition, and we offer respite stays for shorter periods of nursing care.
Having nurses on site means health needs can be met here as they change, so people do not have to move on at the point when familiar surroundings matter most. We manage long term conditions, provide wound and continence care, and offer end of life care with dignity and as little disruption as possible.
We must be open about our most recent inspection. The Care Quality Commission rated us requires improvement overall. We did not dispute the findings. We accepted them, put an improvement plan in place and are working through it, with closer oversight of the areas the inspectors raised. We would far rather tell you this ourselves and let you judge the progress.
What we are aiming for has not changed. Residents decide when to get up, where to spend their time and what they eat, meals are cooked on the premises, and our staff take time to learn what settles a particular person and what unsettles them.
Families are welcome and kept closely informed. Please visit and ask us the difficult questions.
