About Bickerton House

Bickerton House is a nursing home in Bracknell. We care for people whose health needs require qualified nursing attention as well as support with everyday life, and because there are nurses here at all hours we can go on caring for someone as their needs increase rather than asking them to move on. Our residents include older people, many of them living with dementia, and younger adults with complex or long standing conditions. A number of the people we look after have a physical disability and need help with moving, positioning and pressure care. That work is done carefully and without rushing, because getting it right is what keeps people comfortable. We work closely with GPs, district nursing teams, physiotherapists and hospital consultants, and we are used to managing wound care, feeding support, continence needs and the sort of health monitoring that would otherwise mean repeated trips to hospital. Respite stays are available for people who need nursing support for a few weeks, whether after a hospital admission or to give a family carer a genuine rest. Families across Bracknell Forest find the house easy to reach, and we are glad to see visitors whenever they can come. If you are looking at nursing care for a relative, ring us and we will arrange for you to visit and ask whatever you need to ask.
