About Frankcare Community Services

Frankcare Community supports people in their own homes in Birkenhead and across the Wirral. Those we visit include older people, adults living with dementia, people managing mental ill health, adults with physical disabilities, people with sight or hearing loss and younger adults. Our work is rooted locally. Our carers live in the same towns as the people they visit, which keeps travel sensible, keeps calls on time and means somebody turning up already knows the area and often the neighbourhood. That local knowledge matters more than people expect when it comes to appointments, shopping and getting out. Visits are built around what each person needs, from a short morning call to several longer visits a day. We help with washing and dressing, medication, meals, laundry and shopping, and with getting out of the house for people who would otherwise rarely manage it. For those living with dementia we keep the same carers going in and the routine steady, and we take time rather than hurrying anyone. Carers train before working alone and are supervised in people's homes afterwards. We would rather hear about a small problem the same day than a serious one later, and we say so to staff and families alike. We are a newer team and have not yet had a full inspection of our own. Please ask us whatever you need to before deciding, and we will answer plainly.
