About Community Supported Living

Community Supported Living provides care and support in people's own homes in Birkenhead and across the Wirral, working mainly with adults who have a learning disability or autism and adults living with mental health conditions. Our approach is to build support around the individual rather than to offer a fixed package. What helps most, in our experience, is communication pitched to suit the person, a routine that can be relied upon and support that builds skills instead of quietly replacing them. For people living with mental health conditions, a steady and trusting relationship matters more than anything else, along with staff who know somebody well enough to notice when things are shifting. Practically, our support can include help with personal care, medication, meals, managing a household, getting to appointments and taking part in ordinary life outside the front door. Most of the people we support are younger adults, and where somebody has a goal of their own we plan support that draws back steadily as their confidence grows. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please contact us and ask in detail how we would approach supporting you or your relative.
