About Us
Pentacare supports people in their own homes across Worthing, West Sussex and Hove. We work with older people and younger adults, with people living with mental ill health, and with people who have physical disabilities or sight and hearing loss.
We begin with a conversation rather than a package. We ask how somebody wants their day to run, what has become difficult and what they would still rather do themselves, and we agree support that fills the gap without taking over. That might be a call first thing for washing, dressing and breakfast, several visits across the day, help with medication, support to get out to appointments, or a longer visit that gives a family carer a genuine break.
Whatever we agree is written in plain language and revised when circumstances change, rather than left in place because it suited some months ago.
Where mental ill health or sensory loss is part of the picture, our carers are expected to slow down, explain clearly and communicate in the way that suits the person in front of them.
We keep the same staff with the same households as far as the rota allows, because being helped with private things is easier with a familiar face, and regular carers notice early when somebody is unwell. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss support.
