About Us
We are Home Instead Horsham, Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill, supporting older people in their own homes across this part of West Sussex.
We have kept our focus deliberately clear. Home care for older people is what we do, and we would rather do that thoroughly than spread ourselves across every kind of provision. In practice our visits cover help with washing and dressing, support with medication, preparing meals, keeping on top of the house, shopping, help getting out to appointments, and the ordinary company that often matters as much as any task written on a care plan.
We put a great deal of weight on continuity and on the length of a visit. Home care done in a hurry is not worth much. So we try hard to send the same small group of people, and we stay the time we agreed rather than rushing off to the next call.
We also ask, at the outset and repeatedly afterwards, what somebody wants from us and what they would rather keep doing themselves.
