About Us
Esme Blake Care provides support at home to adults in Haywards Heath and the surrounding part of West Sussex.
We visit older people who need help to carry on living in their own houses, people with physical disabilities, people with a visual or hearing impairment and younger adults who need support to live independently.
Our visits cover personal care given without rushing, prompting and support with medication, preparing meals, help with laundry, shopping and keeping the home in order, and getting out to appointments or simply out for some air and company.
For people with a physical disability we pay particular attention to equipment, moving and handling done properly, and above all to allowing enough time. Transfers and personal care take as long as they take, and rushing is where both dignity and safety go.
For people with sight or hearing loss we adapt how we announce ourselves and explain what we are doing, because being unable to follow what is happening around you is isolating in a way that is easy to underestimate.
We aim to send the same small group of carers to each person and to arrive when we said we would, because that reliability is most of what makes home care work.
