About Us
We support people in their own homes in Crawley and the surrounding parts of West Sussex. Most of the people we visit are older adults, including many living with dementia, and we also support people with physical disabilities, people with sight or hearing loss, and younger adults who need help to manage independently.
Care at home works when the detail is right. Which arm goes into the sleeve first. Whether the tea is made before or after the tablets. Whether somebody wants to chat in the morning or would rather not speak until they have woken up properly. We write these things down, we pass them between carers, and we follow them, because getting them wrong quietly undermines everything else we do.
For people with a hearing or sight impairment we agree at the start how we will announce ourselves and communicate, and we keep to it. A carer who arrives and simply starts talking has already made the visit harder than it needed to be.
We are not yet rated overall by the Care Quality Commission, and we prefer to state that clearly. In the meantime we are open about how we recruit, train and check our carers, and families are welcome to ask. We would rather earn confidence through what people experience week to week than through anything we could claim here.
