About Us
Platinum Homecare on the South Coast supports older people in their own homes in Chichester and across the surrounding parts of West Sussex.
We have kept our focus narrow on purpose. Supporting older people well is enough to be getting on with, and doing fewer things properly beats spreading ourselves thin.
Nearly everyone who contacts us wants to carry on living where they are. Our job is to make that practical rather than to take over. Depending on what is needed, that might be a single morning call to help someone wash, dress and get the day going, several visits a day covering personal care, medication, meals and company, or a longer sit so a family carer can have a few hours to themselves.
The first conversation is where the work really starts. We want to know how the day usually runs, what has become hard, and what the person can still do perfectly well and would rather we left to them. People are usually very clear about that, and respecting it is as much the job as the tasks we take on.
Continuity is where we put our effort. A familiar carer who knows the house and the routine is worth more than any amount of paperwork, and we keep visit times as steady as rotas allow.
