We also work with adults who have a learning disability or who are autistic, people managing mental health conditions, people living with a physical disability, and younger adults who want support that helps them get on with life rather than support that takes it over. What each person gets is agreed with them. Some want brisk, practical help and their privacy respected. Others want company and encouragement as much as anything practical. We ask, we listen and we review the arrangement as needs change, which they usually do. Reliability is the part we take most seriously. Being late is not a small thing when someone is waiting to get up, so we plan our rounds carefully and keep families informed.
