About Us
Honeydew Healthcare provides care in people's own homes in Nuneaton and across Warwickshire. We support adults living with dementia, people with learning disabilities and autistic adults, those living with mental ill health and adults with physical disabilities.
We will be direct about our regulator. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We have worked through the report rather than argued with it, and we have changed how care is assessed and planned, how visits are recorded and how our care workers are supervised and supported. Some of that work is still under way. We would rather tell you that now than have you discover it later, and if you ring and ask what has actually changed we will give you specifics.
The work itself matters to the households we visit and we intend to do it properly. Personal care, medicines, meals, help keeping a home running, and consistent support for people whose needs are not straightforward. We keep the same care workers going to the same homes as far as the rota allows, because familiarity is what makes everything else possible.
Supporting autistic adults and people living with mental ill health calls for patience and for staff who have been trained rather than left to improvise, and that is where much of our effort is going.
