About Branch
Our Thurrock branch provides care and support to people in their own homes in Grays and across the wider borough. We visit older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia or with mental ill health, people with a learning disability, people who are autistic, people with a physical disability and people with a visual or hearing impairment. Home care has to fit the household it is going into, so we begin with a visit and a proper conversation rather than a form. We want to know how the day works at the moment, where it becomes difficult and what help would actually be welcome. From that we agree a written plan with the person and, if they wish, with their family, and we change it whenever circumstances do. Visits can include help with getting up or settling at night, washing and dressing, prompting or assisting with medication, preparing meals, keeping the house in order and getting out to appointments or the shops. We plan rotas to keep the same carers going to the same homes. That is how trust is built and how a carer comes to notice when somebody is off colour or eating less than usual. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are looking at care at home in Thurrock, please get in touch for a straightforward conversation.
