About Homecarers
We provide care at home across Manchester and Tameside, supporting older people and younger adults, including people with physical disabilities. Our work is simple to describe and particular in the doing. We send trained carers to people who need a hand to manage at home, and we arrange that help around the life somebody already has rather than around our own convenience. For some people a single visit each morning for washing, dressing and medication is enough. Others need calls through the day and into the evening, help with meals and shopping, and support to move about the house safely. For people whose mobility has become restricted, the right help at the right moment is often what makes staying at home possible, so we pay attention to the detail of how a person prefers to be helped. Continuity is the part we work hardest at. A carer who has visited for months notices the small changes that signal somebody is becoming unwell or low in spirits, and the person is spared explaining themselves to a stranger. Our carers are trained for the needs they are asked to meet and can reach a senior colleague whenever they want advice. We do not yet hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission and are happy to discuss that openly. If you are considering care at home, please get in touch.
