About Head Office

We provide care in people's own homes across Manchester and Tameside. We support adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, people living with mental health conditions, people with a physical disability or a visual or hearing impairment, and younger adults more generally. Most of our work is about keeping somebody's own life going rather than replacing it. For one person that means a call each morning to help with washing, dressing and medication so the rest of the day is theirs. For another it means sustained support to hold on to a tenancy, get to appointments, manage money and stay connected to the people around them. We plan each arrangement with the person and with whoever they want involved. Where somebody needs support to make a decision we give it in the form that works for them, and we take the time it takes rather than deciding on their behalf. Plans get reviewed when life changes, not when a form falls due. Continuity is what we build our rotas around. The same small group of carers going to the same person makes personal care easier to accept, and it means someone who knows their usual self notices early when things are not right.
