About Us
We are Victory Growth Care, based in Stockport, and we provide care in people's own homes across the borough. We support older people and younger adults, and the purpose is the same in both cases: enough of the right help, at the right times, for somebody to carry on living where they want to be.
Home care rests on reliability more than anything else, so that is where our effort goes first. Turning up when we said we would. Sending somebody the person already knows. Telling a family straight away if a visit has to change. None of that is glamorous, but it is what people notice, and it is what separates support that helps from support that becomes another worry.
Every arrangement begins with a conversation in the person's own home. How does the day run now? What has become difficult? What do you still want to manage yourself, and where would a hand genuinely help? From those answers we agree the visits, which might be a single short call, several a day, or a longer stretch so that a relative caring full time can get out of the house.
Support might mean help with washing and dressing, a prompt and a check with medication, a meal cooked and eaten with company, help getting safely about, or assistance with shopping and appointments.
