About Us

AMG Nursing and Care supports people in their own homes across Stafford, Stone and Stoke On Trent. We work with older people and with younger adults, and our experience covers dementia, learning disabilities and autism, mental health needs, physical disabilities, and sight and hearing loss.

We assess at home, with whoever the person wants present, and the conversation is as much about what somebody intends to keep doing for themselves as about what they need from us. The plan is agreed rather than issued and it changes when circumstances do. Support may be a single short call each day, visits at several points for personal care, medication, meals and company, or longer stretches for somebody who should not be alone.

Because we employ nurses as well as carers, we can take on support that needs clinical skill as well as practical help, and we are clear with families about which is which rather than blurring the two.

We hold onto continuity as firmly as the rota allows, because familiarity does more for confidence than any amount of paperwork, and we tell people in advance when a new carer is coming. Our staff are checked, trained and supervised.
